The tomahawk chronicles continue

If you think that the tomahawk is something for frontiersmen and indians, you're right, but they are also a modern tool used by todays high tech military.

Here is what the maker terms a combat axe, featuring a micarta handle mounted on a full tang, meaning that it is nearly impossible to break it.  The back of the head sports a glass breaking point, and the weight of the head is designed to be forward so a powerful and accurate blow is nearly guaranteed.

This axe is constructed for both army and navy special operations teams, and is currently in use by those teams in whatever battle theater that their country calls them to be in.  A totally cool bit of military swag that would be a pleasure to use.

  1. That's a nice piece of gear BUT I can buy about 40 of the ones (from a well known manufacturer that will do the same job)I currently have in my inventory for what just ONE of these costs. Cost vs utility..............I can buy a really nice firearm for what one of these sell for.

    1. Yeah, crazy expensive. It's a cool piece though, and it's fun to consider all it's attributes. There is always the tension between pure utility and art/quality. I tend to err, like you, to utility, and replace when worn out. And it's fun to wear them out.
