The IRS catches an earful.

Which should concern them, as this kind of thing reflects a loss of trust, and it is only trust and voluntary compliance that keeps the tax system afloat.

A politicized IRS is no longer serving the people, but rather a political party or ideology.  That will not last.  Either they clean house with a stiff broom, or the tax system, and then the political system, eventually implodes.

"At the time of this writing, not one public comment on a proposed IRS rule for 501(c)(4) nonprofit groups is positive.
The proposed rule, “Guidance for Tax-Exempt Social Welfare Organizations on Candidate-Related Political Activities” does not impact labor unions or the Chamber of Commerce, but does impact the Tea Party and other conservative groups.
It is out in the open that the IRS is targeting perceived political opponents, but this truth is frustratingly not being shouted from the rooftops by the mainstream media or the Republican establishment, who have been quite clear in their disdain for the Tea Party."

  1. When rule of law has been set aside, all that is left is tyranny.

  2. This also affects more than the IRS. When the FBI made a hasty, shallow investigation of the IRS it included itself as a political entity...not a rule of law organization. Government institutions are rotting at their foundation. All that gives them legitimacy is their political neutrality and that is disappearing fast.
