  1. When I was a boy, Daddy was a Master Sergeant in the United States Army, and we lived at Ashiya Air Force Base on the island of Kyushu, where I attended the Second Grade.

We sailed to Yokohama from Seattle, and returned, sailing from Yokohama to San Francisco.

When I was serving in the old Republic of Viet Nam as a soldier in the United States Army, I went to Japan for a week on Rest and Recuperation Leave, and visited Expo '70 in Osaka.

I rode the "Bullet Train" from Osaka to Tokyo, which at that time, was the fastest railroad train in the World.

In this video, you'll see a brief glimpse of the two rocks that the Japanese formally married to each other.

Those two married rocks are featured in one of my favorite Hollywood movies, "SAYONARA", starring Marlon Brando, James Gardner, and Red Buttons.
