S&W Safety Hammerless 2nd Model “bicyclist’s special” revolver


Manufactured by Smith and Wesson c.1902-40 as the “New Departure”, later known as the “lemon squeezer” - serial number 95406.

.32 S&W 5-round cylinder, double action, internal hammer, grip safety.

  1. My Grandfather had one in nickel plate with MOP grips with five stars embedded. It was in .38S&W (short). It had one major flaw. If you dropped it on the butt it went off. He said he bought it of a pimp in 1930. He could hit a running rabbit from his wagon seat with it and his mules would never twitch.--Ray
